From the common love for the music of Domenico Scarlatti and the spontaneous affinity between guitarist Eugenio Della Chiara and pianist Alberto Chines, the idea of a “tandem” project was born, hybrid between solo recital and chamber music concert.
Twelve Sonatas, carefully selected by mood and peculiarity, performed alternating between guitar and piano and divided into two groups of six.
At the end of each group, two pieces for guitar and piano inspired by the unmistakable Scarlatti’s style, commissioned to two of the most important Italian composers of today: Carlo Galante and Orazio Sciortino.
